GSPS is asking drivers to use extra caution and drive much slower than normal today.

City crews are out applying sand to area roads, spokesperson Shannon Dowling said this morning.

"Intersections are always tricky during winter weather, especially when the temperature drops the way it did overnight," she told NorthernLife.ca "We are encouraging people to drive according to conditions, especially when approaching shaded areas, bridges, intersections and overpasses."
