Superbowl Sunday revellers charged

A total of 262 vehicles were stopped by police during those hours.

Police laid five Highway Traffic Act charges, one charge of driving while under suspension, one charge of disobeying a police officer and one charge of careless driving. They also issued two driver's licence suspensions – one for 24 hours and one for three days.

Ten licensed establishments were inspected along with a Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario inspector, and three were found in contravention of the Liquor Licence Act.

Two were charged with permitting illegal gambling and one charged with require to remain for contest prize.
