Police charge woman, 26, for assaulting spouse

On Feb. 6, members of the Sudbury OPP responded to a disturbance at the Atikameksheng First Nation where a couple was arguing at a residence and a woman had allegedly assaulted a man.

On Feb. 6, members of the Sudbury OPP responded to a disturbance at the Atikameksheng First Nation where a couple was arguing at a residence and a woman had allegedly assaulted a man.

As a result, a 26-year-old woman was arrested and charged with spousal assault, assault with a weapon, and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.

The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury on March 4 to answer to her charges.
