The husband of a woman murdered earlier this month in Estaire is dead.
In a post on their Facebook page on Monday, the Estaire Fire Department said Sheri-Lynn McEwan's husband, Deputy-Chief Terry Boyle, had died.
“His spirit has been reunited with his much loved wife Sheri-Lynn,” the fire department's Facebook post said. “Please continue to search your memory for anything that may help find her murderer and call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.”

When contacted by NorthernLife.ca, the OPP wouldn't confirm that the body found Oct. 27 in the home McEwan and Boyle shared on Elbow Ridge Road in Estaire was Boyle's.
"I can't confirm that," Sgt. Carolle Dionne said. "There is no foul play suspected."
McEwan was found severely injured in her home Oct. 7, later dying from her injuries. Police have not described the nature of those injuries.
The Ontario Provincial Police have revealed little about their investigation, including whether they had any suspects, or whether people should be concerned that the killer had yet to be apprehended.
The investigation into McEwan's death is still ongoing, Dionne said, and investigators are still on the scene.
"They'll be there for some time," she said.
The OPP is urging anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity to call them at 1-888-310-1122, the OPP tip line 1-866-220-2505 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
While police wouldn't confirm the body found in Elbow Ridge Road residence was Boyle's, the Estaire Wanup Volunteer Fire Service, in a news release issued in the evening of Oct. 28, "acknowledge the sudden, tragic loss of its deputy chief, Terry Boyle, at his residence on Sunday, October 27."
Issued by the fire service's chair, Sean Maloney, and Fire Chief Jenny Borton, the release also encourages Estaire residents to be "vigilant" about their safety.
"Three weeks ago, the fire service and community of Estaire was shocked by the apparent murder of Deputy Chief Boyle’s wife, Sheri-Lynn McEwen," the release said. "Details of the investigation into her passing have been sparse and community residents are encouraged to remain vigilant for any suspicious behaviour or events."
The fire service said Boyle was a wealth of knowledge and experience and was held in high regard by his fellow firefighters, noting his passion for the outdoors and motorcycles as well.
"Often first to respond to an emergency, he boosted the capabilities of the fire service team in his dedication to the role of deputy chief and, more so, by being a friend to all," the fire service said.
