He is due to appear in bail court April 22. Burke said the suspect's name is not being released at this time, as more paperwork still has to be filed.

She said the suspect lives in the Riverside Drive area.

A 50-year-old woman was charged with break, enter and theft, possession of property obtained by crime and mischief April 13 in connection to the same incident.

She was released with a promise to appear in court, which she's scheduled to do May 21.

The incident in question — the theft of Partner the long-haired German Shepherd from Neil and Tabatha Haskett's home — was caught on video cameras placed around the outside of their property.

When social media tips led them to the alleged dog-napper, they filmed the dramatic confrontation on their cellphone.

In the days after the incident, Heather Zeffer contacted Northern Life, and said she took the dog out of concern for its health.

However, the vet's office she brought Partner to said he appeared to be in overall good health.
