Former fire chief faces charges in historical sexual assault

New charges have been laid against the former chief of the Estaire-Wanup Volunteer Fire Department.

Gordon Everett Hall, 69, is charged with gross indecency and indecent assault for offences alleged to have occurred in August 1973 at Camp Petraqua in Estaire, said the Ontario Provincial Police.

Hall was charged in 2013 with six counts of gross indecency and seven counts of indecent assault on a male from incidents alleged to have taken place between 1974 and 1978 at the Bancroft Boys Home.

He will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury on June 25.
