The Young Professionals Association (YPA) of Sudbury will be holding its first annual best ball golf tournament on Aug. 15 at Grill Marks Golf and Conference Centre (formerly Clearview Golf Club) in Val Caron.

“In order to organize and deliver higher quality seminars, larger events, as well as provide a vast number of tolls to our members, the YPA relies heavily on sponsorships and donations,” said Don Richer, chair of the YPA executive committee.

“This event is geared toward raising funds to alleviate some of these costs and allowing us to become a stronger presence in our community.”

The YPA provides opportunities for young professionals within the City of Greater Sudbury and between the ages of 20-35 years to meet on a regular basis, build relationships and share perspectives through networking events, educational seminars and conference type events.

Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 10:30 a.m. The cost to participate in the tournament is $50 for members and $65 for non-members. The fee includes nine holes of golf, a cart, lunch and prizes.

To register, contact Isabelle Lortie at the Regional Business Centre at Tom Davies Square by phoning 674-4455 ext. 4415, or by e-mailing ypa@sudbury.ca. For further information regarding the YPA, visit www.ypasudbury.ca.
