The Sudbury Wolves have added another forward to the team's roster. Nineteen-year-old import player Matias Sointu, from Tampere, Finland, was acquired from the Ottawa 67s this week.
Sointu becomes the Wolves' first Finnish-born import player.
In 21 games for the Ottawa 67s so far this year, Sointu has scored three goals, with seven assists. He also has a +7 plus/minus rating.
Sointu is a seventh-round draft pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League. According to a press release, he is a speedy, skilled forward with natural goal-scoring ability.
In return the 67s receive the rights to Wolves' goaltending prospect Francis Dupuis. Dupuis is currently playing for the Gloucester Rangers, a junior A hockey team with the Central Junior Hockey League.
