The Young Professionals Association (YPA) of Greater Sudbury is rallying the city's young community behind the Canadian Cancer Society with the first annual Curls for Cancer charity bonspiel.

The event will take place March 13, starting at 6 p.m., at the Sudbury Curling Club in Minnow Lake. The bonspiel will be an opportunity for young people, ages 20-35, working or studying in the community to raise money for cancer research and compete to win prizes from local businesses. Pizza and door prizes will also be provided.

Those interested are invited to register as an individual or as part of a team. Space is limited to 48 players. Tickets are $50 and all participants will receive a $15 tax receipt.

For more information or to register, contact Josée Ethier, at 674-4455 ext. 2482.

The YPA is a not-for-profit organization focused on developing opportunities for young professionals through networking events, community involvement and professional development.
