Canadian ultimate frisbee players in 24 locations across the country are participating in the Great Canadian Ultimate Game July 17, and Sudbury is among the cities participating.

This frisbee game will be played over the course of 24 hours from coast to coast with teams competing for two different charities — the white team, representing the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada, and the red team, representing Right to Play.

At 5 p.m., the game and score will be passed to the Sudbury Ultimate Club from Parry Sound. The game will be played at Lockerby Composite School, and after an hour, the game and the score will move to Thunder Bay. At the end of the game, the winning charity will receive 60 per cent of the funds raised and the other charity will receive 40 per cent.

The Sudbury Ultimate Club (SUC) is looking for interested players to participate in this game. Those interested can contact sudburyultimate@gmail.com or visit www.sudburyultiamte.com. Beginners are welcome, as there will be players out before the game to teach the basics to new players.

The Great Canadian Ultimate Game is organized by Ultimate Canada, the governing body for the sport of ultimate in Canada.
