Boys competing in ball hockey at the Ontario Summer Games had a chance to shake hands with a local NHLer between competitions Aug. 11.

Ottawa Senators player Nick Foligno met with the boys at Cousin Vinny's Restaurant, located in the Hanmer Valley Shopping Centre. Foligno was also a co-host of the Games opening ceremonies, which were held Aug. 10 at Laurentian University.

On Aug. 12, the players will have an opportunity to meet former NHL Stanley Cup winner and current Sudbury Wolves assistant coach Jeff Beukeboom. His NHL career as a defenceman, spanned over 14 years.

He played for the Edmonton Oilers from 1985-1991, and then the New York Rangers from 1991-1999. He won four Stanley Cups before retiring in 1999.

"This is a real treat for the kids to hear about how these two high profile athletes got their start," Tylor McNair, co-owner of Cousin Vinny's said in a press release.
