Jeffrey Burton, communications liaison for Habitat for Humanity Sudbury District, watches the organization’s executive director Lise Rheault take a practise swing for the Golf for the Cause tournament.

The tournament will help raise funds for Habitat for Humanity’s next building project in Greater Sudbury. In Sudbury, five homes have already been built by the organization, and Habitat for Humanity plans to place seven more families in homes by 2015.

By participating in Golf for the Cause, players can help contribute to the $1,250,000 needed to house these families.

The tournament takes place Aug. 18 at Cedar Green Golf Course in Garson.

Registration is $100/team of four, and includes lunch, dinner, a cart and 18 holes of golf. There will also be prizes, a raffle and auction table.

For more information or to register a team, phone 705-688-8808 or e-mail
