It was a Sunday afternoon finale as APEX Business Machines ran the slate in the U-14 mixed grouping, picking up their fourth straight win of the tournament. Billy Wylie scored the game’s only goal, as APEX slipped past the Lions Club of Sudbury by a score of 1-0.
It was just as close in the mixed U-12 game that followed as Brady Physiotherapy received goals from Jean-Marc Rivard and Jack Wisniewski, edging Toppers Pizza 2-1. Alex Guido replied in a losing cause for Toppers.
Panhellenic picked up its second shutout of the day, blanking Laurentian Trophies 3-0 in the U-14 girls gold medal encounter. Sophie Paradis, Emmalee Barbeau and Andrea Digiacomantionio tallied once each, leading the Panhellenic ladies to the crown.
And finally, New Sudbury Vision Centre earned bragging rights in the U-12 division, trimming PowerTel 1-0. The executive of Sudburnia will now prepare for the annual general meeting slated for later this fall.
