Track North runner Andrew Ellerton completed his 2010 track season with a silver medal in the 800-metre race at the Città Di Padova meet in Padova, Italy. His time was 1:46.77.

Running mid-pack for most of the race and with 100 metres to go, Ellerton found himself behind a pack of six runners, including 1,500-metre Olympic silver medallist Nick Willis and American record holder in the mile, Alan Webb.

In an exciting finish, Ellerton made his move to the outside down the homestretch, making a final burst with 20 metres to go to pass all but the leader, according to a press release.

The race was won by former world championship 800-metre finalist Antonio Reina in 1:46.51.
