On the road for the first time this year, the Laurentian Voyageurs and Lady Vees basketball teams will take on the McMaster Marauders on Nov. 12 and the Lakehead Thunderwolves on Nov. 13.

Looking to find their first win of the season on the road, the Voyageurs know it will not come easy as the t road trip will take the team from Hamilton to Thunder Bay.

"This is our first league road trip of the year and it is one of the most difficult for travel," head coach Shawn Swords said. "McMaster has had a good preseason under new coach Amos Connolly and has added lots of talent. They put up a lot of three pointers this past weekend and we will need to defend their shooting much better than we did against Windsor and Western.

“Lakehead is coming off a great year in which they made it to nationals. The Thunderdome is always a tough place to play and will be a great test for this young Voyageur team."

After a tough opening weekend, the Lady Vees will look to find their game on the road as they begin their quest for their first win of the season. Going up against two formidable opponents, the Lady Vees will look to find the same success in which they had a year ago against both squads.

The ladies will take the court at 6 p.m., followed by the men at 8 p.m. both nights.
