Raising the flag for Special Olympians

The Greater Sudbury Police Service, in partnership with the Knights of Columbus, presented the Knights of Columbus Flag Relay for Special Olympics May 27 at Tom Davies Square.

A Special Olympics Ontario flag was raised in honour of the 2011 Provincial Floor Hockey Championships, running June 9-11 at Cambrian College and Lasalle Secondary School.

For more than 40 years, the Knights of Columbus have raised and donated more than $382 million to programs for people with intellectual and physical disabilities.
