Laurentian rower has golden touch

Laurentian rower Carling Zeeman captured gold at the OUA Championships this weekend. Zeeman won the Women’s Heavyweight Single division in a time of 7:25:67 — more than 11 seconds ahead of her closest competitor.

 Laurentian rower Carling Zeeman captured gold at the OUA Championships this weekend. Zeeman won the Women’s Heavyweight Single division in a time of 7:25:67 — more than 11 seconds ahead of her closest competitor.

The Men’s Heavyweight Double of Dylan Wing and Bradley Cutler finished fourth, missing out on the podium by less than three seconds.

Coach Amanda Schweinbenz was also named OUA Women’s Coach of the Year at the regatta.

The team now prepares for the Canadian University Rowing Championships, Nov. 5 and 6, as they look to bring home more hardware.
