The Boys North Region Talent Identification and Development Team is looking for a few good basketballers.

On May 5 and 6, the development team is holding tryouts in an effort “to identify talented basketball players in the area and assist them in furthering their basketball knowledge and abilities,” Head Coach Ken King told Northern Life.

The tryouts are open to male basketball players born in 1996 or 1997. The $25 registration fee provides a tryout T-shirt and the potential opportunity to play on the Northern U16 team, which will represent northern Ontario at the Ontario Summer Games.

The May 5 tryout will be held from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at Laurentian University, while the May 6 date will be held at Algonquin High School in North Bay.

Registration can be completed online by visiting:
basketball.on.ca/site/index.cfm?DSP=Page&ID=231.

Registration in person at the tryout is also an option (payment by cash or money order, no personal cheques).
