The Sudbury Wolves are one of six OHL teams that will be sending the greatest number of prospects to the Team Ontario Under-17 Camp in Cornwall this week.
The Wolves will have five players attending the prestigious provincial try-out camp. A total of 22 players will eventually be selected from this group to represent the province at the 2013 World U-17 Hockey Challenge in Quebec in December.
The Wolves’ contingent is led by first-round selection Conor Cummins. The big defenceman is one of the top prospects heading into the camp — only three defencemen drafted in the first round of the 2012 OHL Priority Selection have been invited to this year’s final U-17 Camp.
The remaining four players were all drafted by the Wolves from northern Ontario led by Connor Burgess, (third round from the Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves), Michael Muzyka (sixth round from the Copper Cliff Midgets), Tyler Peters (11th round from the North Bay Trappers) and Jonathan Masters (13th round from The Thunder Bay Kings).
