RADIO CONTROLLED AIRPLANES- 8th annual Northern Ontario IMAC Challenge, Aug 4-5 at Great White North RC Park, St. Agnes Road, Azilda. Free to spectators.

NHL ALUMNI HOCKEY GAME- vs. Cambrian Hockey School, Aug 8 at Countryside Arena, $10 general admission. Proceeds to Human League Breakfast Club and P.L.A.Y. programs.

SHARE THE ROAD- Community bike ride with Sudbury Olympian Devon Kershaw, five and 15 km, Aug 9, begins at Science North at 5:30 p.m., rain or shine. Free registration at sharetheroad.ca.

NHL LEGENDS OF THE GAME- Golf Charity Classic, Aug 10 at Timberwolf ($200) and Cedar Green Golf Clubs ($150), shotgun start 11:30 am. Registration includes 18 holes, cart, lunch, dinner, gift bags, prizes. Register 705-670-8633. Proceeds to Human League Breakfast Club and P.L.A.Y. programs.

BOATER’S CARD- Aug 14 at Royal Canadian Legion #76 on Weller Street, 6-10 pm; for ages 8+, $50/seniors and students, $60/adults, includes manual, lesson, test and Pleasure Craft Operator card. Register at 705-525-4999 or boaterexam.com.

HOCKEY REGISTRATIONS- Rayside-Balfour Minor Hockey Association, Aug 14-16 and 22-23, 6-9 pm, Azilda Arena. Phone 705-983-1500.

GOLF TOURNAMENT- Irish Heritage Club of Sudbury, 22nd annual tournament, Aug 18 at Pine Grove Golf Course, 1 pm shotgun start. $45, includes nine holes and buffet dinner. Register at 705-698-0684 or 705-522-8728.
