HOCKEY PA DAY CAMP- At RHP Training Centre, Sep 28, Nov 19, Feb 1, drop off from 7-8 am, pick-up 3-5 pm. Includes two hours on-ice activity, dryland training, blade skating treadmill, shooting. RUN FOR THE CURE- Sep 30, at Cambrian College. Registration 8 am, opening ceremonies 9 am, 5-km starts 10 am, 1-km starts 10:10 am. $40/runner, fundraising options available. Proceeds to Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Contact 705-524-6739 or Vol_Sudbury@cbcfrun.org.

TRAIL RUNS- Walden Cross-Country Fitness Club Trail Run Series at Naughton Trails, Turkey Gobbler Run Oct 8, Under the Light Nov 6. One-km kids run, 3-km flat course, 5-km moderately hilly course. Registration 6-6:45 pm, runs at 7 pm; $5 for 14 and up, $2 for kids under 14. Proceeds to Club’s Youth Ski Programs.

WALDEN BASKETBALL- Youth league, mini 7-9 years, bantam 10-11 years, midget 12-14 years, all co-ed. Registration forms available at Walden/Copper Cliff area schools or Lively Public Library/Citizen Service Centre, 15 Kin Drive, Lively. Registration deadline is Oct 9, league starts Oct 17. NHL ALUMNI GAME- vs. Law Enforcement All Stars, Oct 19, at Garson Community Centre. Doors open 6 pm, puck drops 7 pm. Fundraiser for Special Olympics Ontario. Tickets available at 1-877-431-0685.


SANTA SHUFFLE- Fun Run and Elf Walk, Dec 1 at Science North, 10 am, walk or run one or five kilometres. Registration until Nov 7, $25/adults, $15/youth, after Nov 7, $30/adults, $25/youth.
