Columbus Blue Jacket forward Derek Mackenzie will drop the puck at Friday’s game in support of Kids Help End Lockout Night when the Wolves host the newly named Mississauga Steeheads. Game time is 7:35 p.m.

Youngsters 12 and under are invited to help get the players and owners away from the bargaining tables and back on the ice by wearing their favourite NHL jersey to the game. Kids 12 and under wearing their favourite NHL jersey to the game will be admitted for $7.

During the first intermission only, fans will be able to meet MacKenzie in the lower lobby where he will be signing autographs for fans.

This past summer, the Sudbury native signed a new two-year, one-way contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets. MacKenzie played four seasons with the Wolves between 1997 and 2001.
