Wolves steeling themselves for Friday matchup

The Sudbury Wolves will host their divisional rivals, the Mississauga Steelheads Friday night. Winning nine out of their last 10 games, the Wolves are currently on a three-game winning streak. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.

The Sudbury Wolves will host their divisional rivals, the Mississauga Steelheads Friday night.

Winning nine out of their last 10 games, the Wolves are currently on a three-game winning streak. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.

The Mississauga Steelheads feature Team Ontario U-17 members, Sean Day and Jesse Barwell, as well as Steelheads’ leading scorer and Carolina Hurricanes’ defensive prospect Trevor Carrick and Colorado Avalanche prospect Spencer Martin.

This will also mark Mississauga’s final visit to the Nickel City this season.
Friday’s game is sponsored by Laking Toyota, with representatives on hand with prizes throughout the game including an intermission toque toss.

Prior to the game, the Sudbury Wolves will honour Dominik Kahun, Kyle Capobianco and Troy Timpano, who have returned from international competitions over the holiday season.

Kahun led Team Germany in scoring at the World Junior Championships in Sweden, while Capobianco and Troy Timpano competed in the World U17 tournament in Nova Scotia for Team Ontario.
