Teen black belt nets trophies in Chicago

Bradley Chaput, a 13-year-old black belt who trains at Benoit's Martial Arts in Greater Sudbury, knows his way around a kata. The teen attended the AKA Grand Nationals in Chicago, Ill., from Jan. 30 to Feb. 1, and returned laden with trophies.

The teen attended the AKA Grand Nationals in Chicago, Ill., from Jan. 30 to Feb. 1, and returned laden with trophies.

Bradly earned a first place in naska traditional weapons, a first in non naska traditional weapons, a first in non naska traditional kata and a second in naska traditional kata.
