Teen black belt nets trophies in Chicago

Bradley Chaput, a 13-year-old black belt who trains at Benoit's Martial Arts in Greater Sudbury, knows his way around a kata.

The teen attended the AKA Grand Nationals in Chicago, Ill., from Jan. 30 to Feb. 1, and returned laden with trophies.

Bradly earned a first place in naska traditional weapons, a first in non naska traditional weapons, a first in non naska traditional kata and a second in naska traditional kata.
