Walden peewees battle to the championship

It took three overtime periods to determine a winner, but when all was said and done, it was the Walden CW Mechanical peewees who took home major peewee gold at the Sault Extravaganza on Feb. 23.

Walden showed grit and determination in defeating the Floreani-O'Toole Hornets 4-3 to win the major peewee division. CW Mechanical is coached by Jamie Phillips, with Brian Rig as assistant and Don Merrylees as trainer. The team is managed by Kevin Funnell
