Baptiste, Palazzese named Wolves players of the month

The February Skaters Edge Source For Sports player of the month award is Franky Palazzese. The Mississauga native achieved a goals against average of 2.78 and a save percentage of .921, and sits sixth in save percentage among the league’s top goaltenders.

The Molson Canadian Three Star award winner for February is Nick Baptiste. The Ottawa native notched 10 goals and added six assists for a total of 16 points over 10 games. He leads the team in scoring with 80 points, and is a third-round draft pick of the Buffalo Sabres (69th overall).

Brody Silk has been named the Travelodge community service award winner. During Brody’s shoulder rehabilitation, Brody participated in a number of community events including the Sudbury Wolves Christmas hockey camp, Home Depot autograph session and multiple in-game promotions. The 19-year-old Iroquois Falls native recently returned to the lineup following shoulder surgery. In six games, he logged one goal and two assists.

Connor Burgess has been named the Scholastic player of the month award winner for February. The 18-year-old Sudburian native has an 88 per cent average this semester in university-level english, biology and tech design. Burgess attends Lasalle Secondary School.
