Several elementary schools from the Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO) saw success at the 2014 Intermediate (grades 7 and 8) Franco-Ontarian Hockey Tournament in Ottawa April 3-4.

In the A Division, École Ste-Thérèse (Val Thérèse) won gold, Alliance St-Joseph (Chelmsford) claimed silver, and Ste-Marie (Azilda) earned the bronze medal.

In the AA Division, École St-Denis won the silver medal.

Also competing in the tournament were teams from École Félix-Ricard (Sudbury) and École Saint-Joseph (Wawa).

“All teams agreed that competing in a friendly tournament that allowed them to meet students from French-language schools all across Ontario was a great experience,” a press release from the school board said.
