Wolfpak riders medal at O-Cup series

The podium streak for the Walden Mountain Bike Club’s Wolfpak Racing team continued this past weekend at the Plastiglas Ontario Cup XC Mountain Bike Series event in Woodnewton. Two Wolfpakers grabbed some real estate on the winner's podium.

The podium streak for the Walden Mountain Bike Club’s Wolfpak Racing team continued this past weekend at the Plastiglas Ontario Cup XC Mountain Bike Series event in Woodnewton.

Two Wolfpakers grabbed some real estate on the winner's podium. Alex Anstice finished second in the Master Sport 30-34 male division and Eddie Skala finished third in the Senior Expert 19-29 Male field.

Dominic Girard and Nicholas Tavchandjian finished sixth and seventh in the Senior expert 19-29 male field. A member has stood on the podium at every Ontario Cup and Canada Cup event since the Wolfpak formed in 2010.

The results are:

Jean St. Amour (Master Sport 40-44 men): 12th, 1 hr 11 min 52 sec;
Alex Anstice (Master Sport 30-34 men) second, 1 hr 7 min 13 sec;
Alex Schmidt (Senior Elite 19+ men) 22nd, 1 hr 50 min 17 sec;
Paul Guenette (Senior Elite 19+ men) 35th, 1 hr 58 min 14 sec
Scott Phillips ( Senior Elite 19+ men) didn't finish (mechanical issue);
Eddie Skala (Senior Expert 19-29 men) third, 1 hr 33 min 06 sec;
Dominic Girard (Senior Expert 19-29 men) sixth,1 hr 34 min 09 sec;
Nicholas Tavchandjian (senior Expert 19-29 men) seventh, 1 hr 35 min 13 sec.


The Wolfpak participates in the Opus Epic Spring Eight-Hour Relay event this coming weekend in Mansfield. The team will also attend the Canada Cup Series event in Mount Tremblant, Que., May 18.
