It's back to school time in the September/October issue of Sudbury Sports Magazine.

Gracing the cover of this issue is Chantae Robinson, a multi-sport student-athlete from Marymount Academy who helped the Regals claim a number of titles in the 2013-14 school year. Robinson discusses the impact being a Regal has had on her life while looking forward to the new year of sports and hopefully, new banners being hung on the gymnasium wall.

“For a school with such a successful athletic year, you might think losing was not an option,” Robinson said. “However, the coaches ensured I was able to accept losing in a positive way, in a way that I use to build character and strength.”

As the new year of school sports gets underway, Sudbury Sports Magazine is looking to do some fan sourcing, particularly from the junior ranks. Take photos of the games and sports events you're attending or in which you're competing and send them over to [email protected], along with some information about what's happening. The photos, and your name, could be published in the magazine or on Sudbury Sports' website or Facebook pages. So get snapping and share your perspective.

The new issue also explores the success of the Special Olympics Sudbury chapter. Meet three of the organization's athletes who recently returned from the 2014 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games with multiple medals from the swimming events.

In addition, Sudbury Sports Magazine looks ahead to the final event in the Sudbury Fitness Challenge — the Turkey Gobbler Trail Run; pays tribute to cross-country skiing coach, Dave Battison, who passed away earlier in the summer; and provides a quick recount of Sudbury's athletes who attended the Ontario Summer Games. And that's merely scratching the surface.

Pick up your free copy of the magazine at sports venues, restaurants and retail outlets around the city, as well as the Northern Life office at 158 Elgin St. to get caught up on all the latest happenings in Sudbury's world of sports.
