Matthew Kreis, Josh Carrick, Roy Radke and Garrett Hooey each had goals for the Colts, while Brody Silk scored both goals for the Wolves.

Colts forward Matthew Kreis opened the scoring less than two minutes into the game, beating Sudbury goalie Troy Timpano through the five-hole.

It wasn't long before the Wolves evened things up though. On the power play, Silk slipped a shot past Colts' goalie Daniel Gibl's blocker to knot the game at 1-1 to close the first period. Conor Cummins and Austin Clapmin had the assists for the Wolves.

Early in the second though, the Colts took the lead again when Josh Carrick blasted a shot from the point. With a mass of bodies screening the shot, it got by Timpano to give the Colts a 2-1 edge.

As the second drew to a close, the Colts drew blood again, this time off the stick of Roy Radke.

Down 3-1 now, the Wolves continued to pressure in the third. The Pack pulled within a goal after Evan de Haan fired one from the point that Silk managed to get into the net.

A 3-2 contest now, the Colts' Garrett Hooey scored an ugly short-handed goal halfway into the third to add a cushion. Timpano left the Wolves' net to clear the puck, but Hooey intercepted it and potted it into the empty net.

The Wolves pulled Timpano in the last minute for the extra attacker, but it wasn't enough, and the Colts took the game, 4-2, outshooting the Pack 31-20.

The Wolves have their chance for revenge tonight when the Colts gallop into town for a 7:30 p.m. rematch at Sudbury Arena.
