The pre-season favourites looked every bit the part as Week 2 of the SDSSAA football schedule saw four games on the slate.

Following is a look at all four encounters:

Lo-Ellen Park Knights 42 Lasalle Lancers 0
After holding the Knights at bay for roughly a quarter and a half, the Lancers simply could not sustain the persistent pressure that Lo-Ellen can apply on both sides of the ball.
The Knights scored three touchdowns in the first half and equalled that in the final 30 minutes, blanking the Lancers. Quarterback Adam Favot connected with his brother Mike (Favot) for a pair of TD passes (14 and 15 yards), with Cid Rios-Nadeaurumbling home for two more majors.

Matt Glass and Dalton Milford also reached the end zone, while kicker Pierce Wallingford was a perfect 6/6 on point-after attempts. Noah Skuce and Graeme Stevens both recorded interceptions that led to touchdowns as the Knights improved to 3-0, preparing to face the Notre-Dame Alouettes Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. at James Jerome.

Lockerby Vikings 76 Bishop Carter Gators 0
The good news, for Bishop Carter, is that they managed to survive all four quarters, after surrendering at the half in their opener against Lo-Ellen. The bad news for the Gators is also that this game went the distance.
Running back Ian Christakos scored five touchdowns, all in the first half, racking up 181 yards rushing as Lockerby remained undefeated at 1-0-1. The Vikings can extend that streak with a victory Friday evening against the St. Benedict Bears.

Lively Hawks 37 St. Charles College Cardinals 3
A season-opening loss to Lo-Ellen provided the defending champs with all the motivation needed as Lively bounced back in a big way, dominating the Cards.

Quarterback Hunter Holub ran for three majors and threw for a pair of TD passes, hooking up with both Colin Courchesne (18 yards) and Cam McDermid, with Thomas Rideout adding a field goal.
Bradley Mackenzie split the uprights for St. Charles, putting the Cards on the board at 19-3 on the final play of the opening half as coach Mike Fabiilli and company saw their record fall to 1-1.

St. Benedict Bears 15 Notre-Dame Alouettes 7
The Bears spotted CND a 7-0 first-quarter lead before countering with two touchdowns of their own, picking up a close win in a contest that was suspended, midway through the second quarter, for thirty minutes due to lightning.

Alouettes quarterback Jordan Lacelle turned to the passing game early, using completions to Mason Watt and Hunter Adams to set up a seven-yard touchdown pass to Kurtis Watson, with Bruno Veloso kicking the convert.

St. Benedict got that major back when Chase Pressacco and Connor Vande Weghe continued their early season surge, combining for an 18-yard pass and run, with Vande Weghe picking up the point after as well.
The talented soccer goaltender then drilled the ensuing kickoff into the end zone, giving the Bears an 8-7 lead. Pressacco gave his team some much-needed breathing room in the second half, scampering in for an insurance score as St. Benedict improved to 2-1.
