The Sudbury Wolves host the Sarnia Sting this week, before heading out on a two-game road trip. Saturday sees the Wolves to face the Niagara IceDogs at 7 p.m. Sunday sees the Wolves square off against the London Knights at 2 p.m. Here’s a quick look at each opponent.

Sarnia

The rebuilding effort continues with the Sting this season after finishing last overall in 2013-14. The Sting went 4-6-1-1 in their first 12 games. Sarnia plays Barrie on Thursday. The Sting have received strong results early on from European players Nikita Korostelev and Pavel Zacha. Korostelev rung up eight goals and 16 points in 12 games, while Zacha put up five goals and 11 points in 12 games. The first overall pick from the 2014 OHL Priority Draft, defenceman Jakob Chychrun, has made a solid debut with seven points and +2 rating in 12 games.

Niagara

The IceDogs have been a surprise so far this season, but for the wrong reason. Niagara was considered a favourite to win the Central Division crown, but fell flat out of the gate and went 2-10 in its first 12 games. The team is still missing a major piece of the puzzle in forward Brendan Perlini (last year's leading scorer with 34 goals), who is out with an upper body injury and probably at least two weeks away from returning.

London

The Knights went all-in last season as hosts of the Memorial Cup tournament, but it doesn’t mean they are easy pickings this season. The Knights went 7-6 in their first 13 games, and might have found traction last week by going 3-0, which included a 7-1 victory over a tough Guelph squad. Forward Max Domi lead the offensive charge with 18 points in his first 11 games.
