Wolves' injured list shrinks in time for weekend

It’s no secret the Wolves have had scoring woes this season, but forward Nathan Pancel has heated up in November after a cold start to his season. Pancel had two goals and five points in his first 14 games.

It’s no secret the Wolves have had scoring woes this season, but forward Nathan Pancel has heated up in November after a cold start to his season.

Pancel had two goals and five points in his first 14 games. He has rung up seven goals and nine points in his last four, including a hat trick and overtime winner against Belleville last week. The team has gone 2-2 in the span.

Pancel is happy the goals are starting to come.

“Some of those goals are some would say lucky, but after the luck I’ve gotten, it’s good that a couple are starting to go in,” Pancel said.

Getting Jacob Harris back from injury also helped last week as he registered one goal and four points in two weekend games. Harris has battled injuries so far this season, limiting him to just 10 games. A healthy Harris can make an impact on the team’s offence.

The team received good news on the injury front this week. Forwards Brody Silk and David Zeppieri, who both left last Saturday’s game with injuries against Belleville are expected to be back in the lineup for the weekend.

More good news was revealed when forward Danny Desrochers is also expected to suit up after missing last week’s action after blocking a shot against London the previous week. A full line-up is something Fixter hopes to use to his advantage.

“Being healthy helps a lot,” he said. “It allows us to make game-time decisions and try different lines.”
