On Nov. 22, athletes from Benoit’s Martial Arts participated in the Tournament of Champions, held at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga. All four athletes were awarded gold medals in their individual divisions at the tourney.

On Nov. 22, athletes from Benoit’s Martial Arts participated in the Tournament of Champions, held at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga. All four athletes were awarded gold medals in their individual divisions at the tourney. Marissa Meandro competed in the 13-14 girls black-belt division. She won a gold in kata, silver in weapons, bronze in traditional kata, fifth in team synchro with Bradley Chaput, gold in team kata challenge with Bradley Chaput and Rose Rheaume from Donnaconna, Que. Bradley Chaput competed in the 13-14 boys black-belt division. He was awarded a gold in kata, a gold in weapons, a gold in team kata challenge with Marissa and Rose, fourth in traditional kata challenge and fifth in team synchro with Marissa, as well. Juliana Meandro placed well in the 9-10 advanced underbelt division winning a fifth in kata and weapons, bronze in sparring and a gold in underbelt traditional kata. Ethan Bubba won a gold in 11-12 advance underbelt kata.
