The Northern Ontario women's team's (6-4) won over Team Ontario's Julie Hastings yesterday morning, but fell 6-3 in the afternoon to the strong Team Manitoba squad skipped by Jennifer Jones (9-1).

This morning, Tracy Horgan, Jennifer Horgan, Jenna Enge and Amanda Gates are battling Rachel Homan and Team Canada for a playoff spot at the Canadian women's curling championship being held in Moose Jaw, Sask.

At 6-4, the team betters the 4-7 record they posted in Red Deer, Alberta.
