Sudbury Wolves defenceman Jonathon Duschesne is the Travelodge Sudbury Community Player of the Month for February.

Duschesne participated in numerous community events over the course of the month including two school visits to St. Denis and St. Joseph, and participated in the annual Sudbury Wolves Hockey Card autograph session at the New Sudbury Centre.

Duschesne also participated in The Home Depot Backyard Rink promotion. He visited the Samaritan Centre back in January to assist with distributing the evening meal and coffee to those in need, and visited children at the hospital in December. He will also be participating in the upcoming March Break Skate with the Wolves on March 16 at the Sudbury Arena.

“Jonathan is a great ambassador for the Sudbury Wolves Hockey Club and the Wolves are very proud to have Jonathan represent the hockey club in the community of Greater Sudbury.”

Defenceman Kyle Capobianco has been named the Molson Canadian 3-Star Award winner for February.

Capobianco was named the second star of the game on one occasion and third star twice. In 12 games over the course of the month, Capobianco scored three goals and added seven assists. He currently sits third in team scoring with 37 points. He was named an assistant captain in November, and has helped provide much-needed leadership on the blue-line.

The second-year defenceman is expected to be drafted in this summer’s NHL Entry Draft set to take place in Florida.

“The Sudbury Wolves would like to congratulate Kyle on his strong performances this past month.”

Rookie forward Michael Pezzetta is the McDonald Napier and Thomas Insurance Scholastic Player of the Month for February.

Pezzetta completed three courses at Lasalle Secondary School during the fall semester including English, functions and physics, where he finished with an average of 95 per cent. Pezzetta notched two assists over the course of February and the Wolves look forward to his continuing to develop both on and off the ice.

Sophomore forward David Zeppieri has been named the Ryobi Hardest Working Forward. Zeppieri was selected by the Sudbury Wolves in the third round of the 2013 OHL Priority Selection.

“David works exceptionally hard both on and off the ice. In 53 games with the Wolfpack this season, David has notched one goal and added 10 assists. The Sudbury Wolves would like to thank David for his hard work and commitment and look forward to him continuing his development with the Sudbury Wolves.”

Rookie defenceman Reagan O'Grady is the Ryobi Hardest Working Defenceman. O’Grady was acquired from the Kingston Frontenacs at the trade deadline and has made a positive impact on the young Wolves’ squad in his short time in the Nickel City.

The Lindsay, ON native was selected by the Frontenacs in the first round of last year’s OHL Priority Selection, and he is currently the youngest player in the OHL. O'Grady will be expected to make a big contribution to the Wolves squad next season and the Sudbury Wolves would like to congratulate Reagan on his hard work this season.

Pavel Jenys has been named the Skater's Edge Player of the Month.

The Czech Republic native has had an exceptional rookie season in the OHL and has transitioned well into the North American playing style. The Minnesota Wild prospect currently leads the team offensively with 41 points in 55 games.

Jenys was selected by the Wild in the seventh round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

“The Sudbury Wolves would like to congratulate Pavel on his strong play not only in February, but he has helped lead the team for a majority of the season.”
