The Macdonald-Cartier Panthères earned bragging rights in a fairly emphatic manner, bouncing the St. Benedict Bears 46-24 in the championship final.

The Panthères racked up victories over both the St. Denis Tigres and Marymount Regals in advancing to the final, while the Bears knocked off both the Félix-Ricard Jaguars and Jean-Paul II Comètes.

ESMC were led by the troika of Ariane Saumure, Arielle Douillette and Dayna Fairwell, while Sophia Zulich and Kristina Valle accounted for much of the offence for St. Benedict.

The Macdonald-Cartier championship roster included Lauren Marando, Ariane Saumure, Kaitlyn Winn, Athena Florentis Grandmaison, Milla Cocco, Ellie McIntyre, Dayna Fairwell, Arielle Douillette, Jasmine Tessier, Mireille Paquette, Chantelle Fortin, Miranda Muray and coaches Yvon Lemieux and Kendra Roy.

The Rainbow Board finals were set for April 15 at Northeastern Public School, with the girls' gold-medal encounter set for 10 a.m., and the boys tipping off at noon.
