Coach Brian Coufal and the U17 Impact girls enjoyed a very solid start to the summer of 2015, attending the National Capital Invitational Showcase in Ottawa on the weekend of April 25-26.

The local girls opened play with a 1-0 win over the Cumberland Cobras Academy, with Sarah Cholewinsky handling the goal scoring duties, while Josée Scott registered the shutout.

The Impact girls kept up the pace facing West Ottawa Soccer in game two, posting a 2-1 triumph, as Cholewinsky struck for a pair of markers. The team settled for a 1-1 draw in game three, playing even with the Ottawa South United Force, as Alexis Bélanger joined her teammate on the scoresheet.

The U17 crew are right back in action this coming weekend, travelling to Peterborough for the 2015 Trent University Showcase Tournament.

The Impact will face Waterloo United, Oakville and Whitby at the two-day event that gathers a dozen teams.
