In honour of Mother's Day and Father's Day, the May/June issue of Sudbury Sports Magazine pays tribute to sports parents — the fans, the players and the coaches.

On the cover, Chris Lapensee and her daughter Crystal Restoule have been playing competitive slo-pitch and hockey together for the past 10 years — they tell their story about what it's like to share a roster.

Meanwhile, KMAC head master Christian Fortin recounts how he gradually took over the local martial arts academy from his father, Gerry; and Notre-Dame Alouettes girls hockey coach J.C. Davis recalls what it was like to coach his daughter, Manon.

Skip Krysta Burns led her team to accolades as the Readers' Choice MVP for this issue, and local athletes reflect on their success at the Canada Winter Games earlier this year.
