Four Sudbury Wolves prospects have been invited to attend Hockey Canada’s Under 17 development camp.

The camp will take place from July 29 to Aug. 4 at the Markin MacPhail Centre at WinSport’s Canada Olympic Park in Calgary as part of Hockey Canada’s inaugural National Teams’ Summer Showcase.

The Summer Showcase will mark the first time Hockey Canada has brought together all three of Canada’s national men’s programs (U17, U18 & U20) in the same city at the same time.

Forwards David Levin and Owen Lane, goaltender Jake McGrath and defenceman Conor Ali were among the 111 players invited to attend and will participate in practices and a nine-game mini-tournament on one of six teams: Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Red and White.

From the development camp, 66 players will be selected to represent Canada on one of three national teams – Black, Red and White – at the 2015 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, which is scheduled for Oct. 30 to Nov. 7 in a yet-to-be-determined host city.

“The Sudbury Wolves wish to congratulate David, Owen, Jake and Conor and wish them the best of luck as they travel to Calgary this summer,” a press release from the Sudbury Wolves said.
