Still time to sign up for Chill's volleyball clinics

The Northern Chill Volleyball Club family is growing again. As the organization prepares for the 2015-2016 season, they do so by welcoming a new 12U team to the fold (2004/2005 birthdates).

The Northern Chill Volleyball Club family is growing again.

As the organization prepares for the 2015-2016 season, they do so by welcoming a new 12U team to the fold (2004/2005 birthdates). The Chill have also extended an open invitation to all girls of all ages, who have even contemplated competing in club volleyball, to join their coaches for the annual skills clinics on Sept. 12 at Cambrian College.

From 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., local volleyball mentors will work with older talent, as players born between 1998 and 2001 enjoy the opportunity to work on specific skills.

Immediately following that session, it will be time for the younger clan to take to the floor, as the Chill provide guidance to the young ladies born between 2002 and 2005. That three-hour workout will take place from 12:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.

The cost for any athlete to participate is just $30, with volleyballers encouraged to register in advance, though the Chill will accept registrants on the day of the clinic as well. On-line registration is available by visiting the Club website.

Organizer and club president Mike Margarit has noted that the sessions are not considered tryouts. Formal tryouts begin the following weekend.
