Original Story:

YMCA Sudbury will host a squash coaching clinic on the weekend of Sept. 11-13, with workshops over three days covered under the Squash Ontario "Coaching Foundations Clinic."

The clinic focuses on providing basic coaching technical knowledge, such as the fundamentals of squash, tactics and stroke technique. To become a fully certified squash instructor, coaches must complete the following:

-Coaching Foundations Clinic.

-Multi Sport Part "A" Clinic (www.coachesontario.ca).

-Making Ethical Decisions - On-Line Exam (www.coach.ca).

-Evaluation - advise Squash Ontaro when you have completed all of the above components.

The Coaching Foundations Clinic involves sessions running from 6-10 p.m. on Friday evening, Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The clinic fee is $169.50 ($150 + HST), and includes clinic manual, evaluation fee and four coaching DVDS (Fundamentals, Learning to Train, Train to Train, Train to Compete - LTAD stages).
