The Bishop Carter Gators picked up their second SDSSAA banner of the season, but for the school's volleyball crew, this was definitely a first.

The Gators junior boys team recently hoisted the first ever volleyball banner in program history at BAC, sweeping aside the Chelmsford Flyers 25-18, 25-19 and 25-7 at the Cambrian gymnasium.

Members of the Division II gold medal winning team were Jacob MacGregor, Blake Laforest, Andrew Gorman, Ethan Collette, Jacob Lewis, Richard Samuel, Owen Hall, Lyle Lund, Cody Therrien, Roch Baril and head coach Al Vaillancourt.

The Gators posted a record of 4-2 in regular season play, losing twice to Chelmsford before turning the tables with everything on the line. Bishop Carter did not field a senior team this fall, though one might expect that to change in 2016.

The boys' banner was joined by the one claimed by the girls flag football team roughly three weeks earlier, as the winter sports kick off in earnest this week.
