Bantam Jets girls win Ice Breaker tourney

The SDGHA Bantam HL Jets team took home the title at the Ice Breaker Tournament in Sault Ste. Marie last weekend.

The team played a total of five games and surrendered just a single goal during the tournament. Goalie Paige Hince recorded four shutouts with the hard work of her team out front.

The championship game was played against the Sudbury Wolverines, another SDGHA HL team and the only team to score against the Jets in game four of round-robin play.

The game was a close battle played at the Essar Centre but the Jets took the gold with a 2-0 win.
