Wolves host IceDogs this Friday

The Sudbury Wolves will host their divisional rivals, the Niagara IceDogs on Friday night for the final time this season. Game time is 7 p.m.

The Wolves will be looking to make it two in a row after defeating the Guelph Storm on Sunday in a shoot-out. The Wolves currently trail the IceDogs in the season series three games to one.

The IceDogs line-up bolsters 10 NHL Draft prospects including New York Islanders 2014 first round draft pick Josh Ho-Sang who leads the IceDogs in scoring with 55 points in 42 games.

On defence, the IceDogs’ blueline features St. Louis Blues prospect Vince Dunn. In net, Niagara is led by Carolina Hurricanes prospect Alex Nedeljkovic who recently helped Team USA win bronze at the World Junior Tournament in Finland.

Former Wolves forward, Pavel Jenys will also return to the Sudbury Arena for the final time this season.

The IceDogs currently sit second in the Central division, four points back of the Barrie Colts and are 6-3-0-1 in their last 10 games.

Friday is Teen Night, and all teens 19 and under will receive admission for only $10. Limited to value seating only.

Three lucky rows will have the chance to win a free teen burger courtesy of A & W. The Grain Farmers of Ontario will be on hand with a special collector hockey card at the end of the game.

The Wolves will travel down Highway 17 on Sunday Jan. 31 to visit their Northern rivals, the North Bay Battalion at the Memorial Gardens at 2 p.m.
