The Human League Association of Sudbury's annual curling bonspiel is just around the corner, on Feb. 6.

The festivities kick off at 6 p.m. at the Sudbury Curling Club. This year, the theme is favourite tv shows or series.

There are still openings for teams (four people is ideal, but teams of three or five will be accommodated).

Dress up as your favourite TV show cast (for example, "Gilligan’s Island," "Three’s Company," "Mad Men," "Sons of Anarchy").

This is an important fundraiser for the Human League, the group said in a news release. With spring registrations around the corner, the Human League needs funding to pay to register those who need assistance in the sport of their choice.

It’s also the time of year when schools are running out of funding for their breakfast programs, and they come to the Human League for help.

The cost to enter a team is a donation to the Human League Association (they are suggesting $30 per person).

The Curling Club is donating the ice and facilities and Aviva is once again the corporate sponsor for the event.

The event is not suitable for young children, but teens are welcome to take part.
