BLOOM, Marian Kathleen (nee Murdock) - January 21, 1954 - January 17, 2013 - It is with heavy sadness that the Murdock family announces the passing of their sister, Marian, on Thursday January 17th, 2013 in Ipswich, UK. after a valiant battle with cancer. Marian's sense of humour and optimism lasted 'til the end. She was surrounded by her husband, Colin, and their children: Emily, Matthew, Howard & Eleanor-Grace; & her stepchildren Dawn (Andy) & Georgina. Marian was the daughter of Harry & Monica Murdock (Muldoon), both predeceased. She is survived by her sisters Sharon, Kelly (Eric), Kathleen (Roger) & her brothers Kilby (Barb), Myles (Cathy), Sean & Brendan (Lisa) as well as many nieces, nephews & her stepchildren Karen & Preston. After high school & a short time in Toronto, Marian moved to BC where she met her husband. In 1984 she moved to England where she raised her family & worked in law and education. She enjoyed gardening, computers & collecting heritage collectibles. Since her favourite time of year was spring, a memorial service will be held in England 'when the crocuses bloom'. A sincere thank you to the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Ipswich for the care they provided Marian & the family over the past few months.
