BUCHANAN, Kenneth Thomas Odell - 1927-2012: Ken was born March 6, 1927 in Toronto, Ontario. He passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 1st, 2012, of cancer. Ken is predeceased by wife Eva Worwood Buchanan; he is survived by children Gregory (Patricia), Marg (Michael) and Cameron, six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Ken taught at Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School from 1965 to 1975 and Laurentian University (Archaeology) from 1976 to 2002. Ken served in the reserve Navy for many years, and volunteered for a number of nonprofit organizations. He was always an avid sailor, ham radio operator and motorcyclist. In keeping with Ken's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations (by cheque only) to Maison Vale Hospice would be greatly appreciated

I wish to celebrate a life well lived. It sounds like Ken was a great guy. Us Octogenarians have seen many great events come and go. Seems like Ken should be honored and remembered by the Ham Radio Community. Condolences to the family. Bob VA3 PTL
We were saddened to hear of Ken's death. We used to enjoy our visits at the end of the road. And helping on the Speigel Site as "experts". Judith and Peter Traulsen
