JEFFERSON, Maxwell “Max“ - In loving memory of Maxwell “Max“ Jefferson, 87 year, Monday, September 24, 2012 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Beloved husband of Alice Jefferson (nee Langille). Loving father of Jeanne (Paul Cymbalski) of Holland Landing, Craig (Caroline) of Sudbury and Kim (Doreen) of Val Caron. Cherished grandfather of Robert, Jeffery, James, Karri, Brittany, Ashley and great grandfather of Valla and Amaya. Predeceased by his parents Etta and Angus Jefferson, sisters May, Lottie, Evelyn, Ethel, brothers Guy, Howard, Allan, Ronald, Leslie, Milfred and Donald. He was born Oct 8, 1924 in Grafton Nova Scotia. He served Canada in WWII as a Dispatch Rider in Holland, England, Belgium and France. A decorated War Veteran, he moved to Sudbury in 1951 to work at Inco. Max was a jack of all trades at Frood Mine for 31 years where he was known as “Jeff“, retiring 28 years ago. He was also a member of The Mine Rescue Team. His greatest pleasures in life were his family. Max was married to the love of his life, Alice, for 67 years. He also loved and is loved by his 3 children, his 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and all of their pets. He never failed to greet a passerby or have treats ready for their pets. He was loved and admired by all who knew him. He was a man's man who will be missed by many. Memorial Service In the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, VAL CARON/BLEZARD VALLEY, 1815 Main St., Val Caron, on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 1 pm, Cremation at Park Lawn Crematorium.
