LAPOINTE, Robert “Bob“ - The family announces with sorrow his passing in Sudbury on Sunday, January 20th, 2013 at the age of 73 years. Beloved husband of Claudette Irene Lapointe (née Barbeau) of Sudbury. Son of the late Albert and the late Anna Marie (née Lavoie) Lapointe. Loving father of Nicole Morin (Tim) and Paulette Bozzo both of Sudbury, Michel Lapointe (Wendy Coates) and Lise Hazzard (Shawn) both of Hanmer. Dear brother of Claire Seguin (late Gabriel) of Garson. Predeceased by his brothers Marcel “Babe“ (late Lilliane), Luoma Lapointe (late Ann) and his sisters Laura Schmuck (Frank), Pauline Levesque (Roger of Sudbury) and Jeannine Bissonette (Ray of Almonte). Dear brother in law of John Barbeau (Mary), Maurice Barbeau (Julie) of Sudbury and Lorraine Campbell (Roy) of Texas. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Stephanie, Josée, Jean-François, André-Michel, Anthony, Nicholas and lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Robert enjoyed dancing at the Caruso Club as well as having coffee at the mall with his friends. He loved to work as an airport policeman and the city of Sudbury Crash Fire Rescue service. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated (time to be confirmed) in Ste-Anne-des-Pins Church, Sudbury. Donations by cheque only to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
